Professor Matthew Clempner Appointed Vice President of IMAS

The Institute of Martial Arts and Sciences is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Matthew Clempner MSc FIMAS as Vice President.

This significant appointment recognises an exceptional record of martial arts, academic and professional achievement, together with more than two decades of loyalty and dedicated service to the Institute. Professor Clempner brings to the role a depth of knowledge, experience and leadership that makes him superbly qualified to help support the continuing development of IMAS.

A founding Fellow of the Institute

Professor Clempner was among the founding Fellows of IMAS more than twenty years ago. Since that time, he has served the Institute tirelessly in a wide variety of capacities and has remained a committed advocate for professionalism, education and high standards throughout the martial arts.

His long-standing contribution reflects not only his considerable expertise, but also his belief in the values on which IMAS was founded. His continued support has helped strengthen the Institute and its international community of martial artists, educators and professionals.

Leadership and professional excellence

Alongside his work with IMAS, Professor Clempner serves as President of the Praetorian Academy of Security Studies. His professional leadership, academic accomplishments and extensive martial arts experience bring an invaluable combination of practical insight and strategic understanding to his new position.
